General Community Meetings

4th Monday of the month   6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Community Fellowship Church, Logan Drive

Everyone is welcome to our general community meetings. It’s a friendly, informal gathering with informative speakers and presentations that allow us to stay abreast of developments in the city that affect residents and homeowners. There is no charge.

CNCA membership is open to all residents of the Chaffee community. The $10 annual dues (valid January-December) may be paid online, dropped off at the general membership meeting, or mailed. Payments made online will include a $1 fee to cover fees paid by CNCA for each credit card transaction. Please remember to include your name and address so we can record your membership. Neighborhood Beautification

Saturday after the General Community Meeting 9 a.m.
Kent Robertson Park, Logan Drive

Help our neighborhood stay attractive. Meet us at the park for one hour of maintenance, such as picking up litter or cleaning curbs. Gloves, bags and “trash grabbers” are provided. Everyone is welcome to participate, but if your schedule does not permit, feel free to pick up as you walk the neighborhood.

Supporting Schools

Donations – Little things can make a big difference! Join us as we support Chaffee Elementary School and help students collect plastic twist bottle caps, Box Tops for Education, and Campbell Soup labels. Please count and label the bottle caps. Donations can be dropped off at Eleanor Murphy Library on Charlotte Dr. or brought to our general membership meetings. Start saving today!

Volunteer Opportunities – Volunteers are needed to serve as reading or math tutors and library aides.Tutoring is usually one hour per week; library aides volunteer for one 3 hour shift per week. Contact Chaffee Elementary School at (256) 428-7040 and get started today.

Community Watch

Deterring area crime is a priority. Everyone who lives in the Chaffee Community is part of Community Watch. Residents are encouraged to stay observant of activity on your street. Keep garage doors closed and vehicles locked. Dedicated volunteers perform daily watches throughout the year. Their service promotes the safety and security of all families. If you would like to be a part of this critical community program, contact Vice President, Lyle Voyles.

Yard of the Month

We are proud of our attractive neighborhood and want to acknowledge the hard work that goes into the beautiful lawns. Families may be nominated throughout the summer. Criteria includes curbs that are edged and swept, and nice lawns with tidy bushes and flower beds.

Photos from the Spring Community Yard Sale can be found on our Gallery page. Our next sale will be May 7, 2022. The CNCA will advertise the sale and post signs at the Parkway entrances. Individual families display sale items and the fun begins.

Community Picnic

The Community Picnic is a big hit every year providing residents with food, fun and fellowship. If you live in the Chaffee neighborhood, bring lawn chairs and blankets join us.
